What Are the Best Paintball Gun Brands?
If you're planning on buying a new paintball gun then that's good to hear. Paintball is one of the most fun and exciting sports you could ever play.
Don't worry about going off to war where you could lose an arm, a leg or even your life, in paintball you get a quick adrenaline rush from the safety of a paintball field.
Before you go to play paintball though you need to decide whether you want to rent your paintball equipment or if you want to buy your own. If you decide to buy your own paintball gear then you need to know which brand are the best and which to avoid. I won't be telling you which brands to avoid today, but I will let you know which brands make the best paintball guns on the market today.
In my opinion, the top paintball marker brands are Tippmann, Dye, Empire and Planet Eclipse. Below I will discuss what I love about each of the brands and what paintball guns each brand has to offer.
Tippmann
Tippmann is the best paintball brand when it comes to the woodsball version of paintball. Tippmann is known for making highly durable markers out of steel cast aluminum that are designed to withstand whatever nature throws their way. I've seen Tippmann guns fall onto hard ground and even be ran over by cars and still be able to fire.
No other paintball gun manufacturer is as durable as Tippmann and that’s just a plain fact. The most popular Tippmann paintball guns are the 98 Custom, the A5, the X7, and new markers such as the TCR, TMC and Raider. Tippmann has even came out with a pistol called the TipX and beginner markers such as the Gryphon, Stryker and the long line of Army Alpha markers.
Dye
Dye is mostly known for making some of the highest quality speedball guns in the entire world, but they are also known for making the best magfed paintball gun of all time - the Dye Dam (Dye Assault Matrix). If you’ve never heard of the Dye Dam before then you have to watch the video below. This paintball gun is what I personally use and I love it so much I figured it deserved its own video in this post to really show you what all it has to offer.

The speedball guns from Dye are no joke either. My favorite Dye markers are the DSR, the M2 MOSair, and the M3+ and M3s. Dye also has the Proto Rize for beginners and amateur paintball gun enthusiast.
Empire
Empire Paintball has been around for over 10 years now, but lately they've really started to up their game when it comes to creating some of the most popular paintball gun on the market.
Everyone knows of their speedball guns such as the Empire Mini, Axe, Axe 2.0 and the Vanquish GT, but they also have created one of the most Innovative woodsball guns to hit the shelves in the last few years known as the Empire DFender.
The DFender holds the paintballs in the stock of the paintball gun in a Bullpup design to eliminate the need of a loader. This Innovative design is amazing for woodsball players as it frees up their line of sight and gives players less of a target to shoot at.
Planet Eclipse
One of my favorite paintball gun brands as of lately is Planet Eclipse. Planet Eclipse has some of the coolest looking and most highly sought-after speedball guns that you can buy such as the Planet Eclipse Ego LV1.5, the Etek 5, the Etha LT, the Geo CS1, the Geo CS1.5, the Geo CS2, the GMek, the Gtek and I think you are beginning to get the point, Planet Eclipse simply has more speedball guns than any other manufacturer.
Planet Eclipse also has a really cool woodsball/speedball style of marker known as the EMek MG100. This mag fed paintball gun is First Strike compatible so it can shoot almost twice as far as your traditional paintball gun when using First Strike paintball rounds.
Conclusion
Out of all these paintball gun brands there is bound to be one that you would love to use. Simply choose any of the four and you will definitely find yourself with a great paintball gun that is capable of annihilating your competition. Some of these brands such as Tippmann and Empire have great beginner markers so if you have a low budget you might want to check them out.
Remember, paintball is about having fun so no matter what paintball gun you buy try to do your best out on the field and don't let anything get in the way of you having a good time!
